Get your mind blown with June's pick of the month

Adam Becker's "More, Everything, Forever" will leave you shocked and awed.

When I first read Adam Becker’s More, Everything, Forever, I was a little hesitant to jump all the way in. This is a book about what the billionaires in Silicon Valley really believe—not what they say, but what their actual, true convictions are—and even though I’ve closely followed the development of this peculiar cadre, a lot of the ideologies laid out in the book seemed pretty outlandish and improbable.

Do they think all of our problems will be solved by artificial intelligence?

Do they really imagine turning the entire face of planet Earth into a data center?

Do they genuinely believe that they can achieve immortality?

(The subtitle “AI Overlords, Space Empires, and Silicon Valley’s Crusade to Control the Fate of Humanity” gives you a clue of some other places this goes.)

And yet… events of the past few years have both elevated these people into positions of incredible power and shown that their stranger theories are not just idle musings but guiding principles.

Becker, an astrophysicist and philosopher, writes with verve, passion and a heavy dose of fury. But he also takes the time to actually examine what these folks say and do, and demonstrate—with logic and evidence—the many ways in which they are entirely disconnected from reality.

On reflection, I realized perhaps there’s even more magical thinking among the billionaire class than I ever thought possible.

Called variously “disconcerting” (New Scientist) “vehement critique” (Science) and “a much-needed reality check” (The Atlantic), this book was released in April 2025 and was named one of the best books of the year by Scientific American, Kirkus and others.

It’s a fascinating, terrifying, brain-boggling read—and I’m very pleased to be sharing it with you as Curious Reading Club’s book of the month for June 2026.

Wwe’ll be talking to Adam in a live Q&A later in the month. If you aren’t already part of the club and want to join in on the action, it’s easy to sign up.
