Join our live Q&A with Carl Elliott tomorrow

You're invited to June's Zoom at 12pm Eastern time.

Here's your reminder that tomorrow is our live Q&A session with Carl Elliott, the author of June's pick of the month.

Members and newsletter subscribers have received a link in their email to join us on Tuesday June 11 at 3pm Eastern/12pm Pacific by clicking the link below.

Don't feel intimidated even if you haven't read the The Occasional Human Sacrifice yet: the conversation will still be relevant and interesting, and full of fascinating stories around this important book.

Topics on the table will include (but aren’t limited to) Carl’s thoughts on medical research; the difficulty of getting whistleblowers to talk about their experiences; and how we could change the consequences for negligent researchers. Plus we will of course have open time for you to ask questions yourself.

A nod to our basic Zoom etiquette:

  • Be respectful of everyone taking part.

  • Remember this call will be recorded and shared with Reading Club members afterwards.

  • Video doesn't have to be on (although it's nice to see each other!) but everyone should remain muted unless called upon.

And if you aren't already a paying subscriber, you can still get Carl's book by signing up for Curious Reading Club before June 13 (anyone who signs up after that will start their subscription with July's pick.) So if you’re thinking about becoming a member, or have friends who would be interested in reading along each month, this is a great time to join.

See you tomorrow!

Bobbie
