Rescheduled: Adam Becker Q&A

It's too hot. We're moving things to next Wednesday.

Is it possible for the brain to liquefy inside the head? I am attempting to answer that question in real time today, as temperatures here in the UK reach almost-record temperatures: 39°C today, or 102°F. While we had planned to interview More Everything Forever author Adam Becker today, the reality is that staying in a narrow Victorian rowhouse where temperatures are even higher is not conducive to intelligent conversation. I’ll be going to find a safer environment to ride out the heatwave, and so won’t have connectivity at the appropriate time.

So I am postponing today’s planned Q&A with Adam Becker and rescheduling for Wednesday July 1 at 2pm Eastern / 11am Pacific. You’ll be getting a note about July’s book of the month that day, so I’ll send invitations and links out in advance.

In the meantime, if you’re in the Bay Area and interested in seeing Adam in the flesh, then why not go to Roxie Theater in San Francisco next Thursday? He’ll be talking after a screening of Valerie Veatch’s investigative essay documentary “Ghost in the Machine”, which looks at how emerging technologies reshape identity, culture, and global power. Tickets are $15+fees for non-members from the Roxie website.
